Production Engineer – Dogger Bank Wind Farm Location: Sunderland O&M Base / Offshore Rotation
Pay Rate: In the region of £500per day

Employment Type: 6-Month rolling contract
About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer to support the operations and maintenance of one of the world’s largest offshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse wind turbine performance across the Dogger Bank fleet using SCADA and condition monitoring tools
Identify recurring faults or trends and initiate technical corrective actions in collaboration with field technicians and OEM support
Develop, standardise, and continuously improve production and maintenance processes to maximise turbine availability
Act as a technical escalation point for site-based technicians, supporting alarm diagnostics, documentation, and troubleshooting
Ensure all O&M procedures meet high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
Coordinate with site management, client stakeholders, and engineering teams to implement upgrades and planned interventions
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and reliability metrics to senior management
Participate in root cause investigations and technical reviews following faults, failures, or shutdowns
Support commissioning, operations readiness, and the onboarding of new turbines or systems as phases come online
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Engineering degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable or Offshore Engineering
Proven experience in wind turbine operations, maintenance, or commissioning (offshore or onshore)
Strong understanding of wind turbine systems, fault handling, and SCADA data interpretation
Familiarity with CMMS tools, GE wind technology (Haliade preferred), and offshore safety protocols
Valid offshore certifications: GWO, BOSIET, Medical (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Skills
Root cause analysis and lean/continuous improvement knowledge
Understanding of WTG control systems and drivetrain diagnostics
Good communicator with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
Experience working in rotational or offshore schedules
