A top international aerospace, defence, and security company are looking to recruit a Project Controls Lead to join their team in Dungeness.

Candidates must be able to be on site 4 days per week outside of Outage and 12 days off for the outage period (Until August) as support will be needed across both periods

About the role:
  • Develop/Implement and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets
  • Develop and maintain Project Risk & Opportunity
  • Provision of weekly and monthly performance reports
  • To be the key point of contact with the client ad the project accountant concerning all budget and change control
  • Ensuring that the Contract Specification is understood in line with customer requirements including Project Gate and phase reviews of the life cycle of the project
  • Maintaining of project Estimates at Completion and Estimates to completion
  • The processing of additional work which includes the agreement of technical/contractual content to ensure that work can be progressed in accordance with project schedules
What you will need:
  • Previous experience in leading a team and able to demonstrate how you have developed their performances through effective communication and feedback on an ongoing basis
  • An ability to take responsibility for the planning and organisation of resources to ensure delivery in accordance with the customer’s needs
  • To be able to demonstrate how your role contributes to the commercial viability of the site project
  • Experience in the full life cycle of a project from the bidding phase through to the close out
  • Minimum ONC level or OND qualification in an Engineering relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
  • A professional qualification, such as APM, PMQ, Acoste, and RICS along with a membership to a professional body or equivalent
  • Experience in schedule management
  • Experience in contract management
  • Experience of Budgeting and Cost Control
  • Experience in Risk, Opportunity, and Issue management
  • The ability to prepare, gain approval of, refine and update business cases that justify the initiation and/or continuation of programmes/projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks
  • Governance arrangements (incl quality) – the organisational and project specific processes, standards and guidelines for the governance of projects, including the process of initiation, review, handover and close out
  • Experience in Schedule Management and an ability to demonstrate an understanding of od developing, baselining, and monitoring of an integrated schedule to inform the direction of the project
