Job Description – Senior HR Advisor (Residential in Equatorial Guinea)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a true partner to deliver business impact through the full employee lifecycle by building, developing, and retaining a high performing and diverse workforce.
  • This role will partner with the leaders of The Company and where required provide support to the HR Manager.
  • This role will lead key HR projects such as workforce planning and talent management.
  • Lives the Company Values and applies them in day-to-day work.
  • Adopt a Business Partner approach by building strong working relationships and building credibility, through regular communications with senior business leaders to understand and meet on-going/future business requirements, ensuring that HR play a part in the successful achievement of business objectives.
  • Provide professional and proactive HR advice and guidance within defined business areas within Asset Solutions business unit in line with Company standards and processes. Work in full partnership with leaders and managers to provide guidance and advice on all HR matters, ensuring that at all times Employment Law is adhered to.
  • Develop, maintain and update HR Policies and procedures, compile standard operating practices identifying important policy issues for organisation development taking into consideration current applicable local and international laws, company requirements and future trends.
  • Responsibility for the end-to-end employee lifecycle including, but not limited to, Recruitment, Reward, Performance Management, Talent Management and Succession Planning, Retention, Employee Relations, business planning and forecasting, working in collaboration with the Learning & Development team, where applicable.
  • Support the development of the Client’s National Content Programme, working in collaboration with the Learning and Development team.
  • Coach, advise and support senior business leaders so that they manage their people effectively and maximise their teams’ performance.
  • Investigate employee motivation and job satisfaction concerns, implement effective employee motivation strategies.
  • Take the lead on resolving complex employee relations issues ensuring that Petrofac values and standards are always maintained.
  • Work with colleagues in specialist areas to develop Reward and Benefit packages and ensure effective communication in the defined business area.
  • Respond to employee-related queries and provide answers to all HR-related inquiries and requests.
  • Create statistical reports concerning employee-related data to the local leadership team, highlighting trends.
  • Attend weekly business partner meetings with senior leaders, presenting meaningful HR Metrics and present action-based solutions to issues.
 
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Degree qualified.
  • Strong knowledge of appropriate employment legislation and complex case management.
  • Knowledge and application of HR Metrics.
  • Knowledge of Employee Training & Development Programmes (preferred).
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication Skills.
  • Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Effective coaching skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Organisation and time management skills, particularly when dealing with conflicting priorities.
  • Commercial awareness to support the business in making key decisions and understanding the implications of this.
  • Proactive approach to HR as a value-add function.
  • Strong operational experience working directly with the client.
  • Partnering senior management and leadership.
  • Working with and coaching and advising management and leadership.
  • Building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships across range of contracts.
