NRL are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager for a client of ours in Ireland.  The project offers as exciting opportunity for a c.10+ years’ experience PM, to deliver a c.€30m residential project as part of the prestigious development in central Dublin, and to join a dynamic self-build developer with an exciting pipeline of high-density projects ahead.

The ideal candidate would be from a Main Contractor background, experienced in leading a Site Management Team (ie: Senior QS, Site Manager, General Foreman, Engineers, M&E Coordinator, Finishing Foremen, GOs etc) and driving delivery in conjunction with our appointed subcontractor and supplier partners. A key aspect of the role will be driving design delivery also with our appointed design team to ensure the timely flow of accurate information between our design team and subcontractors.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to the Site Management team, driving high performance, ensuring that the Team is adequately resourced to achieve the project objectives, in line with the prelims budget.
  • Develop and own the Project Execution Plan setting out the key objectives, cost / programme delivery targets, procurement strategy and risks management plan for the team
  • Implement the project governance procedures and systems required to measure and report on performance
  • Manage the principal relationships with supply chain partners (design team, subcontractor, supplier), statutory authorities, service providers, funding partners and local communities.
  • Oversee the commercial delivery of the project in conjunction with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure value capture, effective cost control and securing of project budget / margin
  • Drive project delivery and performance through efficient sequencing of trades works packages, in line with project programme. Manage the key interfaces with the trade’s subcontractors, ensuring their commitment to delivery of the project objectives.
  • Oversee the performance of the project Design Team to ensure timely information production and to interrogate the buildability and cost effectiveness of proposed assembly details
  • Ensure works are carried out to best-in-class quality, health & safety, and environmental standards, in full compliance with the Statutory requirements and consents (i.e., BCAR), and that the required control systems are in place and implemented
  • Oversee the design development process and flow of information between design team and subcontractors, and ensure on-time resolution of outstanding specification / materials selections in conjunction with the in-house Sales / Investment team
  • Ensure the design team is fully engaged in delivering quality coordinated information, and efficient building details / solutions, facilitating off-site manufacture and other modern methods of construction as required
  • Manage key relationships with the in-house Client Team, such that the objectives of the Sales / Investment team are integrated fully into the project delivery
  • Oversee the delivery process to the Customer through the Handover, Fit-out and Aftersales stages, such that the quality and presentation of the finished product and public realm is in line with company expectations
Role Requirements:
  • Degree Qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Tier 1 / 2 Main Contractor experience at Project Manager / Contracts Manager level an advantage
  • Managing contract values in the range of €10m – 50m
  • Fast-track design / build experience in high density apartments delivery a distinct advantage
  • Team leadership – over seeing technical teams of 5 – 20 personnel
  • Delivery / performance mindset – understanding of production sequencing on building projects
  • Commercial acumen and technical competency – understanding of high-density apartments construction
  • Commitment to Health & Safety; Quality Standards and setting the team culture
