About the role:
- Provide Azure Cloud expertise to support the programme in the delivery of enterprise Azure landscape for a major construction programme
- As a Solution Architect, you will plan, evaluate, design, build, configure, and deploy enterprise class COTS applications solutions into an integrated solution of delivering a major infrastructure (e.g. Collaborate with business analyst, application, network, and cyber teams to achieve ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure design within the time frames defined
- You will be involved with enterprise-level Azure-centric projects where you will design and deploy application solutions to cloud environments and resources.
- You will be part of the deployment, testing, and implementation of applications and services.
- You will architect application and server deployments using automation tools like Azure DevOps, ARM, and Terraform
- You will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the Azure solution design
- Participate in major technical decisions, develops technical proposals that consider alternatives and business case, gain needed institution approvals, and work effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders.
Responsible for
- Reviewing and understanding Requirements and Use Cases.
- Reviewing and understanding business application deployment, integration, and planning base structures
- Defining the technical solution to deliver all required data to the business applications stack
- Multiple examples of leading design of application architectures as a part of overall digital transformation programmes
- Demonstrable experience with development of layered REST/API solution enablement for COTS applications.
- Strong foundation in software development and configuration life cycles, experience with Azure DevOps, DevOps tools and processes, Terraform, Ansible, or other automation tools/platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft CAF
- Demonstrable experience of working to tight schedules and complex working environments.
- Team player with the ability to work closely with peers and within dispersed project teams
- Work experience with Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates and Terraform.
- Work experience with deployments of enterprise COTS applications into Azure environment.
- Work experience with construction industry best of breed applications; e.g. Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Bentley Projectwise, ArcInfo GIS, PRISM, Prolog, Autodesk products.
- You may hold certification(s) for Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Solution Architect Expert, or Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Experience with deploying COTS applications through CI/CD pipeline.
- Understanding of Azure DevOps configuration and management.
- Experience with working with integrated teams requiring collaboration and customer relationships.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and self-sufficient.
- Strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
