NRL are currently recruiting for a professional Stores Administrator to work on a contract basis for one of our clients at Stockton Close, Walsall. This is a 3 month contract, working 40 hours per week 0800-1700 (Mon-Thu) 0800-1400 (Fri).  To support the Stores Manager by carrying out the administration duties required. Candidates must be computer literate, as you will be working on multiple excel databases and MRP system. Stores admin or stocktake experience is also required.

Main purpose of Role
  • To support the Stores Manager by carrying out the administration duties required to ensure the efficient, effective and safe running of the stores department.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all stores records and publication of associated reports within the required deadlines.

Key Objectives / Accountability
  • Maintain the required materiel stock levels by monitoring and adjusting re-order points to support stocking strategy.
  • This includes the maintenance and balancing of production Kanban stations.
  • Manage the approval and obsolescence processes for stores item maintenance
  • Responsible for receipting and tracking of all Armour products including management of sub contract services.
  • Maintenance of the associated record keeping and retrieval process, ensuring full traceability and compliance of armour from the point of receipt and storage through to job allocation.
  • Responsible for completing job sign-offs; ensuring components and materials are recorded against the correct works job number and ensure that jobs have full material usage verified and allocated.
  • Undertake to resolve and support the resolution of goods invoice queries arising from Accounts Payable; Shared Service Centre.
  • Undertake rolling weekly stock check program to ensure recorded stocks are consistent with physical stocks.
  • Responsible for the validation and maintenance of the records associated with the Return to Vendor process including stock adjustment and vendor communications.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent 5S standards and safe working practice in their area of activity.
  • To support Internal and External audits in providing the required documentation to the appropriate standard on request.
  • To carry out any duties that are deemed reasonable over and above standard duties.

Person Specification
Experience:
  • Experience of Stores or Warehousing management
  • Experience of working in an automotive / engineering environment is desirable
Skills/Knowledge/Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good customer and supplier relationships.
  • High level of competence in Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to act as a credible representative of the company to external parties.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
  • Proven People Management Skills (essential)
Qualifications:
  • Educated to G.C.S.E. standard or equivalent
  • Computer literate
