NRL are currently recruiting for a Technology Operations Lead for work with a globally recognised engineering consultancy for work in Aldgate on a major UK infrastructure project.

About the role:
  • To be responsible for review and implementation of changes to information technology and information management systems, ensuring they are responsive to complex programme requirements, meet programme objectives and comply with the relevant regulatory, client and parent company policies and standards.
  • To work collaboratively with the Partners contracts under the guidance of Head of Technology in the rollout of common solutions, actively engaging in continuous improvement activity
  • To manage a small team of IT professionals to deliver services and support to the project team member.
  • To manage and interface with Managed service providers on an on-going basis to ensure Programme SLAs. 
  • There are a number of systems to support from Office 365 and CRM Dynamics which are managed inhouse to numerous hosted applications, including management of the supplier
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Technology operational of all IT and Digital Services on the programme.
  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Work collaboratively with the Partner organisations to operate solutions which are developed for the programme
  • Understand and manage the governance process for Information Security and ensure the processes and procedures are created, adopted and maintained.
  • Review of the business requirements developed by the change team
  • Ensure stakeholder and user confidence and satisfaction capturing IT Helpdesk KPIs. 
  • Monitor and manage the local network and liaise with the service provider to resolve issues
  • Work with hosted application service providers to ensure system availability and security
  • To look for ways to encourage innovative thinking to reduce cost, risk and time wherever it is safe to do so
  • To ensure all hold health, safety, security and wellbeing (HSSW) as a key programme value and participate in the creation, development and implementation of HSSW strategies by the programme leadership team
  • To understand and work according to the values and behaviours
What you will need:
  • Demonstrable experience of performing in an IT operational service environment
  • Proven track experienced of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrable experience generating requirements and acceptance criteria from an operational perspective
  • Proven track record of setting up and managing the service desks
  • Demonstrable experience of management of managed service providers, setting service level agreements and auditing on their performance.
  • Proven track record of innovation and collaboration
  • Team player with the ability to work closely with peers and within dispersed project teams
  • Proven track record of leadership with string written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully working in/adapting the philosophy of a ‘One Team’ environment
  • Examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties
Skills
  • ITIL certification or demonstrate expert knowledge of IT operations
  • Team oriented manager with the ability to work closely with peers, with the ability to delegate, motivate and empower individuals and teams
