Job Title: Work Management Engineer – Commissioning/Pre-Operations (Staff)
Location: Hinkley Point C (HPC) Site

Job Overview:
We are seeking Work Management Engineers to support commissioning and pre-operations (Comm-op’s) activities within the Operational Control Centre (OCC) at Hinkley Point C (HPC). This role will play a key part in developing and implementing work management processes and tools to ensure readiness for the operational phase of one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of work management procedures aligned to HPC project milestones
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team to improve process efficiency and deliverables
  • Specify and manage commissioning work order cards and resolve issues by liaising with stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of routine maintenance strategies and input into the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system
  • Participate in meetings and represent the OCC team in relevant forums
  • Assist in developing standards and procedures that ensure safe and effective operation in line with WANO AP928
  • Support the implementation of work management and planning processes for operational readiness
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Engineering or science background with a degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience with asset management tools (e.g. Asset Suite), data reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of maintenance documentation, engineering drawings, and safety assessment processes
  • Strong written communication, organisation, and IT skills
  • Experience in regulated industrial environments, particularly in maintenance instruction development and risk assessments
Desirable:
  • Experience with commissioning activities on nuclear or large-scale industrial sites
  • Understanding of nuclear industry standards, including WANO AP928
  • Knowledge of UK nuclear regulatory compliance and nuclear fleet operations
