Civil Construction Engineer – BESS & Solar PV Plant


Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Civil Construction Engineer to oversee civil works on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Solar PV Plant projects across Egypt. This is a site-based role on a 1-year renewable contract, ideal for a civil engineer with strong background in EPC projects, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure. This is an opportunity to contribute to a significant renewable energy project and work alongside an expert team delivering sustainable solutions.


Location and Working Pattern

Site-based role across Minia, Abou Qir, and Naga Hammadi, Egypt.

Full-time position for the construction and commissioning phase.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities for Solar PV and BESS facilities.
• Monitor progress against project schedules and mitigate delays or risks.
• Ensure site activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Review civil design drawings, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Conduct site inspections to guarantee adherence to quality standards and safety requirements.
• Support engineering teams with technical issues and validate progress for contractor payment certifications.
• Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication and attend project meetings for status updates.

Must‑have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction.
• Proven experience in utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, or renewable energy projects.
• Background in EPC project environments.
• Familiarity with civil works such as earthworks, foundations, drainage systems, and roads.
• Strong understanding of standards, specifications, and safety regulations.

Nice‑to‑have Skills

• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certifications.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Additional qualifications in construction management, quality, or HSE.
