Senior Site Civil Engineer – Solar PV & BESS Project


Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Civil Engineer to join a major renewable energy project in Dandarh, Egypt. This site-based role is ideal for professionals with strong civil engineering expertise in utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You’ll play a key part in delivering a large-scale, sustainable development while benefitting from accommodation, transport, and medical coverage.


Salary
EGP 80,000 – 100,000 net per month


Location and Working Pattern
Dandarh, Egypt – full-time, site-based position. Accommodation and local transportation will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all civil construction activities for PV Solar Plant and BESS facilities.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, designs, and construction documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Supervise excavation, grading, earthworks, and other associated civil infrastructure works.
• Oversee construction of PV module structures, inverter foundations, and underground utilities.
• Manage subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve construction issues promptly.
• Prepare and review progress reports, technical documentation, and handover records.

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of relevant site-based civil construction experience.
• Strong background in large-scale renewable projects, ideally solar PV and/or BESS installations.
• Proven ability to supervise contractors and manage on-site activities effectively.
• Proficiency with civil engineering works, quality control, and HSE standards.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience on PV Solar Plants of 100 MW+ or grid-scale BESS projects.
• Familiarity with tracker-based PV systems.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 or other project planning tools.
• Experience working with EPC contractors in international settings.
