NRL are recruiting for a Business Development Coordinator to work in central London with our client, a major consultancy in the construction industry. The role to take a proactive role in driving BD to support the clients Interiors Team.

They are looking for a candidate with experience of preparing high quality bids, content and presentation materials for a range of private, multi-sector opportunities. You will take a leading role in coordinating bids and proposals working alongside our partners throughout the process to generate high quality bid content.  This will be crucial to the success of the role.

About the role:

  • You will take a leading role in coordinating bids and proposals working alongside our partners throughout the process to generate high quality bid content.

  • Establishing key win themes for every bid working with relevant stakeholders, managing a timetable for each bid and securing contributions from relevant stakeholders to deadline, ensuring content is aligned to win themes and is compliant with bidding criteria, using Indesign, Word and Powerpoint as required to create submission material.

  • Working with tender portals to upload to deadline and continuously looking to improve all bid material and documentation, creating project case studies, CVs and bid library content.

  • In addition, the role includes supporting the team in their wider BD activities including maintaining a pipeline tracker to manage opportunities, market research and lead identification, creating targeted approach documents and updating the team on all BD activities to help drive the team forward.

  • The successful candidate will also support the team assisting in organising Business Development events and initiatives.

  • As with all BD work, this can be a high-pressure role which sometimes, though not always, requires you to work outside of core business hours to meet deadlines. They are looking for candidates who are passionate about BD and have the drive and willingness to embrace this role fully and make it their own.

  • Resilient team player with a proactive approach to bid coordination

  • Good attention to detail with a desire to ‘get it right’

  • Knowledge of pipeline tracking

  • Copywriting for bids

  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines and multi-task projects

  • Proficient experience of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. is required

  • Intermediate or expert user of Adobe Indesign; or prepared to learn and upskill in this key area

  • BD experience gained in construction, professional services or consultancy would be useful
