About the Role:
Our client is undertaking a major office relocation project within London and is seeking a skilled Desk Side Support (DSS) professional to join the team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient transition of all end-user technology and infrastructure. From desktop setups to meeting room AV systems, your expertise will help deliver a seamless experience for all staff during this critical move.
Key Responsibilities - Pre-Move Planning & Coordination
Conduct site assessments and audits of current and new office locations
Document hardware, software, and peripheral configurations
Collaborate with Facilities, Network, and Infrastructure teams on logistics
Participate in planning meetings and contribute technical insights
Physical Setup & Installation
Unbox, install, and cable desktop hardware (monitors, docks, keyboards, etc.)
Mount and patch network equipment (switches, access points)
Label and test network ports and patch panels
Ensure ergonomic and safe equipment placement at desks
Meeting Room & Collaboration Technology
Configure and test meeting room AV systems (e.g., Logitech video conferencing)
Ensure all AV equipment is installed and functioning correctly
Coordinate with AV vendors, fit-out contractors, and internal teams
User Support & Troubleshooting
Provide deskside support during and after the move
Assist users with login, access, and peripheral setup
Troubleshoot issues with printers, scanners, and shared devices
Support mobile device connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPN, etc.)
Post-Move Support & Stabilization
Conduct floor walks to identify and resolve issues
Deliver white-glove support to executives and key users
Escalate unresolved issues and update asset inventories
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in IT coordination, ideally in office relocation projects
Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and networking (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi)
Hands-on experience with desktop support and hardware troubleshooting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with third-party IT vendors and contractors
Familiarity with IT asset management and inventory tracking
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) are a plus
Additional Skills & Attributes
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
