Job Title: Experienced Document Controller
Location: Suffolk (site-based)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
Contract Type: Contract – 2 Years
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS clearance
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a dynamic, fast-paced construction project based in Suffolk. The successful candidate will be a key part of the site-based team, ensuring accurate and compliant document management across all project phases.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage document flow between client teams, design teams, and operational teams
  • Maintain and update trackers and spreadsheets for document control and information management
  • Ensure QA of documents to defined standards and compliance with workflows and timelines
  • Apply knowledge of British Standards for file naming conventions (ISO/PAS)
  • Use SharePoint and Viewpoint for document storage, control, and collaboration
  • Work closely with other team members in a busy site office environment
  • Ensure all documentation is filed correctly, accessible, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle
 
Requirements:
Proven experience in a dedicated Document Control role on large-scale or fast-paced projects (construction or infrastructure preferred)
 
Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint and Viewpoint systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large volumes of information accurately
  • Must be eligible to obtain BPSS Security Clearance as required for this government project
