NRL are currently recruiting for a number of experienced Front of House staff to work on a part-time, contract basis for one of our leading clients. Role will be based at Faslane, Helensburgh.

Shift patterns below:
  • Mon-Fri 06:30-14:00 34.17 hpw
  • Mon-Thur 11:00-14:00 12 hpw

About The Role:
  • Maintain required records such as temperature logs for fridges, Point of work checks, stock logs for consumables and any other logs that are required in course of duty.
  • Maintain all Front of House areas and equipment to required hygiene standards, ensure compliance with relevant Food Hygiene, COSHH and Health and Safety Legislation or policies, and prepare for daily service and functions as required.
  • Operation of sales terminals and cash registers, collection and sign out float and reconciliation of cash/credit and mess transactions.
  • Set up, operate and replenish hot/cold food counters and serveries, ensuring accurate portion control during meal times.
  • Delivery of meals and buffets to all retail locations and collection of used crockery from these locations (e.g. All Bars, Conference facilities and offices).
  • Report any defects identified using the appropriate process and ensure waste is removed from the Front of House areas and placed in appropriate bins.
  • Promote all products and services to maximise revenue.
  • Work as part of a team and provide assistance and cover to other sections as required.
Summary:
  • Dealing with c 50 per day (depending on Mess).
  • Servicing c 80 – 100 Functions per annum
  • Cash handling to the value of c £2,500 per week (depending on Mess).
  • Service to be provided day, evening and weekends (hours depending on Mess)
What You Will Need:
  • Ability to cover across all Mess / Dining facilities.
  • Problem solving for any issues arising.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify new opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Thinking pro-actively to minimise issues.
  • Prioritisation of tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Thinking on your feet to respond to customer enquiries/requests and decide on best course of action.
  • Decide when to alert authorities to potential incidents during ‘out of hours’.
  • Knowledge of Safety, Fire, Environment & Health Legislation (including Food Hygiene), Company & Base Policies.
  • Experienced in Cash handling.
  • Knowledge of Military ranks.
  • Experience in operating Electronic Point of Sale systems and cash registers.
