About the role:
- Working closely with managers, provide pro-active professional HR advice and support based on company policy, employment law and best practice.
- Proactively manage a varied employee relations caseload, dealing with complex and sensitive matters, and ensuring successful and timely resolution.
- Support the design, delivery and implementation of HR initiatives and projects and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, taking a lead role where required.
- Work with Occupational Health and line managers to ensure the wellbeing of staff through effective attendance management, education and health surveillance.
- Support the effective implementation of organisational changes.
- Responsible for producing a range of accurate and timely management information and supporting monthly absence reporting requirements as required.
- Work as a collaborative member of the team supporting payroll processing and other administrative tasks.
- Responsible for ensuring confidentiality and integrity of all HR information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
- Undertake any other general HR or training related tasks as required.
- Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Essential:
- CIPD qualified Level 5 or equivalent
- Experience in a generalist HR role at an advisory level
- Experience of managing a complex and varied caseload
- Strong knowledge of current and forthcoming employment law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Strong excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
- Experience of using HR systems and reporting tools, ideally Success Factors
- Knowledge and experience of handing confidential and sensitive information
- Experience of working with trade union representatives
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience of TUPE regulations
- Knowledge and experience of consultations, change management and reorganisations
