Our client has a new opportunity for an HR Advisor - Staff position - Grangemouth.

About the role:
  • Reporting to the HR & L&D Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with department heads and line managers to build capabilities, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives. You will also be responsible for designing and delivering HR policies and processes that support key business strategies, acting as SME for several HR topics.
  •  You will be working alongside a small team of multi-disciplined HR and L&D professionals.
  • You will   have a strong generalist background and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
What you will need:
  • Coach and support leaders at all levels of the organisation. Provide advice and assistance on all performance management topics, policy and process.
  • Develop, review and implement HR policies with current legislation and Company standards. 
  • Assist in the building of strong talent pipelines and managing recruitment up to executive level.
  • Design and deliver succession-planning strategies in order to maintain the correct level of competence, skill and talent to support current and future business deliverables.
  • Support headcount plan across site ensuring headcount is managed within budgetary limitations.
  • Support the delivery of key messages to all levels of the business. 
  • Influence and manage relationships with networks external to the business in order to develop business opportunities or add value to existing ones.
  • As an HRA with the Company, you will also become part of the Incident Management Team, providing on-call support for HR and Communications during incidents within the business.
  • To be a strong fit for the role you will need to have a broad generalist background, covering the end-to-end HR lifecycle, ideally with experience in the manufacturing industry and/or a unionised environment. You will be someone who can hit the ground running, is able to manage a diverse portfolio of activities, work at pace and deal with changing priorities.
  • Key Skills and Experience:
  • Preferably, degree qualified with at least 5 years’ experience in an adviser/business partner or consultant role, with a professional qualification from an accredited chartered institute such as the CIPD; or have at least 10 years HR experience with at least five as an adviser/business partner or consultant.
  • Experience of managing complex ER cases.
  • Experienced in policy writing, able to take ideas from first principles and map them in to policies and practices.
  • Have project management experience and have supported or led change initiatives.
  • HR systems knowledge
  • Able to assimilate and analyse complex data in order to provide accurate information for the purpose of reporting, advising and guiding the business.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience within manufacturing and/or a unionised environment would be preferable.
  • Behavioural skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships quickly
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
