NRL are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to work with one of our engineering consultancy clients in East London (with some remote working) on a contract basis until October this year. 



Role objectives:  
  • To manage the day to day running of the office
  • To project manage opening and closure of the office further down the line, assisting in the planning of the move
  • To liaise with Parent Companies on use of their Facilities and support coordination 
 

About the role: 
  • To project manage an efficient and safe reopening of the office
  • To manage the day to day running of the office whilst open including the collection of staff personal belongings and any bookings by teams to use the space for collaborative working sessions 
  • To project manage the closure of the office, including logistics for transporting any client-owned assets to other facilities 
  • To liaise with Parent Companies on use of their Facilities and support coordination of a booking system 
  • Work with Team Administrators to ensure use of the office is well structured and organised 
  • To manage the facilities & admin budget  
  • To develop an on-going relationship with the building management to ensure all services are in place 
  • Provide office inductions as required and work with the People Team to ensure inductions are of high quality and well organised 
  • To work with others should the need arise to change the office layout – this may involve some procurement and negotiation with suppliers (this may mean some weekend working but this is expected to be on an exception basis and needs prior approval) 
  • To ensure notice boards, break out areas, meeting rooms, public areas are clean
  • To develop a ‘fit for purpose’ front reception/welcome desk service 
  • To work with parent companies, HSSW and wider team to make individual reasonable adjustments as required 
  • To assure the office has adequate first aiders/fire wardens and that people who may need assistance in exiting the office in an emergency is appraised of process 
  • To feedback on evacuation exercises 
  • To always maintain a secure office 
 

What you will need: 
  • Strong office management experience 
  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the business 
  • Key attention to detail skills 
  • Strong background within administration, experience at administration manager/office manager level 
  • Prior experience in managing and coordinating an office move
