Role Responsibilities:
- Work within a multi-disciplinary Enabling works team to deliver various work packages
- Manage the risk associated with scope gaps and misalignment between the Contractor and in-house technical teams
- Working with key interfaces to promote coordination and integration between Enabling and other workstreams within the project
- Actively support the development of cost, schedule, and reporting (weekly reports, monthly dashboards and reports, presentations, etc.) to ensure the requirements are met
- Assist the Head of Enabling Works in all aspects of the workstream
- Work with the Stakeholder, Environment team and DCO teams to ensure that consents and approvals are granted before commencement of works
- Key interfaces with Project Managers, Enabling works Design team, Land & Property team, Construction Managers, Main Contractor, Planning/Project Controls/Commercial functions
- To deliver parent company programme governance requirements as required
- To consider programme legacy and in all decision making in the same way as cost, risk, and time
- To look for ways to encourage innovative thinking around how to improve legacy benefits
- To hold health, safety, security, and welfare (HSSW) as a key programme value and to participate in the creation, development, and implementation of HSSW strategies by the programme leadership team
- Seasoned Project Manager with a track record of delivering projects to time, cost quality standards across all stages of project lifecycle
- Experience in managing and delivering enabling works including surveys
- Experience in the writing, reviewing, compilation of reports, and presentations
- Demonstrable experience of successfully working in/adapting the philosophy of a 'One Team' environment within an NEC contract context
- Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry &/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team
- On site construction experience working closely with contractors
- Team oriented leader with the ability to work closely with peers; delegate, motivate and empower individuals and teams
- Examples of exercising sound judgement, leading and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple parties
- Educated to degree standard and membership of an appropriate professional body or equivalent work history
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders, and to influence all levels in an organization to produce timely documents etc
- Strong interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working within a challenging timescale and being proactive in getting things done
- Structured and methodical working methods
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working to strict timelines/different styles of leadership.
- Strong self and team organisational skills along with pro-active and independent working
- High degree of computer literacy including immediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and other basic software with a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly
