Site Supervisors Required (1 X Civil Site Supervisor and 1 X Site Supervisor)
Job Title: Site/Civil Site Supervisor
Locations: Wymondley Substation (Civil) and Walpole Substation (General)
Contract: 18-month project on a 6-month rolling contract
Start Date: Approx. 26/08/2025
Rate: £400 per day LTD
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Civil Site Supervisors to join our teams at Wymondley and Walpole Substations. You will be responsible for ensuring civil works are delivered safely, to programme, and in compliance with all National Grid and CDM regulations. This is an exciting long-term opportunity on a major Transmission & Distribution (T&D) project.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with CDM regulations on site.
Follow all setting-to-work procedures and ensure these are adhered to by all personnel.
Deliver works to programme while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety.
Produce reports and provide timely information to management.
Supervise and guide staff and subcontractors to meet agreed production levels.
Maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Support clients to ensure agreed KPIs are met or exceeded.
Promote and capture best practice, feeding it back into the business.
Lead by example in health, safety, quality & environmental management.
Maintain quality standards and assist with as-built drawings.
Assist with implementing Safe Systems of Work, including issuing Permits to Dig.
Set others to work and monitor performance throughout tasks/projects.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Full UK Driving Licence.
National Grid Competent Person – NSI 6 & 8 (Full).
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS/SSSTS.
IOSH Environmental or equivalent.
CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport.
HSG47.
First Aid at Work.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D industry in a civil role, preferably on National Grid sites.
Previous supervisory experience.
Desirable:
HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
Impressed Voltage training.
Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience.
Additional IOSH Environmental or equivalent certifications.
