On behalf of our client in the Engineering Services sector, NRL Recruitment are looking for a Welder/Fabricator to work on an initial 12-month contract, based in Warrington. The ideal Welder/Fabricator is expected to manufacture, install, and commission various test rigs for internal and external clients at the Birchwood Labs and Rig Halls. The individual must have experience of working to and interpreting engineering drawings. 


Key responsibilities:

  • Produce quality welding that may require NDT by an external contractor.

  • Suggest improvements to work methods and facilities.

  • Control of work or re-work using factory route sheets and ensure information is passed to works office.

  • Promote the manufacturing processes and ensure they are followed.

  • Aim to achieve end goals set by the manufacturing coordinator. 

  • Ensure targets are met and any issues resolved in a timely manner.

  • Lead by example in areas of quality and health & safety.

What you will need:

  • MIG & TIG

  • Produce quality welding that may require NDT by an external contractor

  • Relevant Welding / Fabricating qualifications & experience(in

  • Have good communication skills.

  • Have a good approach to Health and Safety

  • Be adaptable to change

  • Work well as part of a team.

  • Experience working to engineering drawings.
