Job Overview – Sr. Civil Engineer

As an Sr. Civil Engineer, you should be able to oversee various aspects from conceptualization to completion. This position demands a blend of technical proficiency, and project management skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply your expert knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices to drive project success. The position is based out of Cairo, Egypt, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design review for existing projects including coordinating and working with Owner’s engineer, Design consultants and EPC’s.
• Ensure design are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Review and perform any critical site studies related to renewable projects including but not limited to the Egyptian market.
• Hands on expertise in detailed civil design aspects for PV project. There could be intermediate site visit requirements for site construction audits or verification of civil works, as required.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, and consultants to ensure project expectations are met.
• Identify and address any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and permits.
• Prepare project status reports on a regular basis.
• Assist with project scope and conceptual design, as required for projects under development.

Requirements

• Qualifications in Civil Engineering or any other related field. Higher degree preferred.
• 6 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in a design role for Renewable projects.
• Proficient in Civil 3D
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Skills

• Design Software’s: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Revit
• Engineering Concepts: Soil Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Water Resources Management, Environmental Systems Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering
