MANDATE
The position plays a key role in safeguarding the Group’s financial reporting, both externally and internally as well as developing the policies, procedures, guidelines and tools for financial reporting and internal control over financial reporting in the group. This role will be part of Company’s global Group reporting and accounting function, located in Oslo, and will be specifically dedicated to oversee company’s financial reporting in Egypt. The role will report to the Group function but work closely with the local Finance and Asset management team in Egypt to ensure timely and accurate reporting to the group’s external reporting.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quality assurance and consolidation activities for IFRS reporting, with primary responsibility for the Egyptian portfolio.
- Perform IFRS accounting assessments, including new project assessments (e.g. PPAs), EPC arrangements, impairments, financial instruments, non‑recurring transactions and other complex matters. Prepare clear and well‑structured accounting memos and presentations for the Group’s external auditors.
- Act as the first point of contact for IFRS guidance within the region, supporting local Finance and Asset Management teams with interpretation, implementation and training.
- Ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies across the Group. Contribute to the development and maintenance of Group accounting policies, including IFRS compliance and implementation of new accounting standards.
- Coordinate with Group and local auditors, and ensure timely resolution and closure of audit matters.
- Contribute to the Group’s external reporting, and support the preparation of high‑quality monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to management, the Board of Directors
- Act as a key contributor in initiating, driving and leading process improvement initiatives, including development of ICFR policies and other tools to improve closing and reporting processes for both Group and local teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), including ad‑hoc support to the internal audit function.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
6.1 Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably from audit and/or group reporting in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- IT knowledge – familiar with Sharepoint and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Language: fluent both written and spoken in English
- Experience from Big Four audit firms is preferred
- Experience with consolidation and group reporting is an advantag
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions and geographies
