Are you a skilled Gas Engine Generator Technician with experience in CHP systems and multi‑disciplinary power plant environments? Join a thriving and expanding team delivering premier energy solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and commission CHP gas power generation systems at client sites across the UK.
- Conduct routine and preventative maintenance, mechanical overhauls, and modify control systems for enhanced performance.
- Diagnose faults, undertake troubleshooting, and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
- Perform performance testing, analysis, and maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
- Mentor junior engineers and support generator installation phases.
- Coordinate service scheduling and manage maintenance spares cost‑effectively.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and liaise with contractors.
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Proven hands‑on experience with CHP gas generation systems (e.g., Siemens, MWM, MAN, PSI/Ford).
- Strong mechanical overhaul and control systems modification expertise.
- Confidence working independently with excellent communication, organisational skills, and fault‑finding ability.
- Clean UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience commissioning controls (flows, pressures) and diagnosing control system faults.
- Ideal candidate will be based in Scotland or willing to travel across the region and the wider UK.
