Successful applicants will join multi-disciplined engineering teams delivering projects from concept, through to commissioning. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Design of control system circuits.
- Generating control system design specifications.
- Developing PLC software, HMI/SCADA systems and software.
- Simulating and testing PLC and HMI software.
- Configuring and commissioning inverter software drives.
- Electrical schematic checking and approval.
- Calculations and architecture checks.
- Functional safety studies.
- Reviewing designs against DNV standards.
- Selecting and procuring control system components.
- Contributing to sales proposals.
- Liaising with suppliers for expediting purposes.
- Experience in the design and commissioning of safety automation and control systems for equipment in marine and/or hazardous environments.
- Understanding of PLC programming for both safety and process applications, including the application of Functional Safety principles.
- Experience with DNV and SIL.
- A degree-level qualification, or equivalent.
- A valid UK driving licence.
