NRL are on the lookout for a Delivery Engineering Manager, for a 12 month contract based out of Warrington, to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of multi-discipline engineering team.


Duties: 
  • Lead and motivate their plant area engineering team in line with the project mission and delivery objectives.
  • Management and co-ordination of planned engineering design activities for their plant area.
  • Ensure that the designs for their plant area satisfy the specified functional requirements.
  • To ensure the delivery of discipline specific engineering designs for the plant area are compliant with the relevant legal requirements, standards and quality targets.
  • Ensure that their engineering team provides timely and effective support to the Construction and Commissioning teams.
  • Plan and arrange any design verification activities carried out for their plant area, i.e. design reviews, constructability reviews, model reviews, assurance reviews, hazard identification studies.
  • Identify, define and manage design interfaces with the other plant area to ensure fully coordinated, ‘clash-free’ designs.
  • Delivering engineering designs for their respective plant area, working within the approved plant area budget and scheduled completion dates.
  • Ensure their team works within the approved budget and scheduled completion dates for engineering design activities.
  • Provide regular updates of engineering progress to the Project Controls team for their plant area.
  • Check and approve engineering deliverables, where specified on the approved Design Quality and Verification Plan for their plant area
Requirements:
  • Nuclear Experience
  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer
  • 3 Years' Experience in Similar Role
