NRL are recruiting for a CNC Machinist on behalf of one of our large clients based in Warrington on an initial 12-month contract. The Machinist is required to assist in manufacture of bespoke test rigs for a number of industries, predominantly nuclear.
Key responsibilities:
Manufacture of bespoke components to be used on development rigs, specialist tooling or supplied direct to customers.
Interpretation of drawings supplied by engineers and clients to develop the best practice to produce the items shown.
Assembly of finished components and assisting in the fabrication section as workload demands.
Working with engineers to solve problems and identify potential improvements.
Control of own quality and inspection of work by other machinists including recording of all appropriate data.
Lead by example and follow HS&S procedures.
What you will need:
Skilled in the operation of conventional machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, surface.
grinders and hand tools.
Skilled in the operation of CNC milling machines and lathes, including programming.
Skilled in the operation of wire EDM machines and their programming.
Manage own time to meet deadlines including overtime working when required.
Ensuring that all housekeeping is kept to a high standard.
Attending training courses as necessary to perform role.
Ability to gain security clearance.
