NRL are looking to speak to Mechanical Project Engineers from a Pharmaceutical or Chemical background to join a rapidly growing, global company at their North East plant.

In Brief:
To implement the Mechanical content of authorised projects for the company and provide Mechanical support to the engineering maintenance team where required.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

HSE:

Responsible for design within safety, quality and environmental standards
Conduct audits
Comply with all HSE requirements including safety policies and procedures
Carry out duties as appropriate within the Company PTW system.
Ensure Mechanical personnel have a high level of Safety and Environmental awareness and promote safe working from all personnel and engineering contractors at all times


Operational:

 As a SAP user the job holder will be required to carry out assigned SAP transactions in an accurate and timely manner
Provide specialist support for Mechanical content in capital expenditure preparation
To handle Mechanical Engineering projects from basic initial design through to completion and handover within authorised cost and to agreed timescale.
To understand and follow detailed Mechanical design drawings P&ID’s, layouts etc.
Oversee the Mechanical project procurement and installation phase
Prepare scope of work packages for the installation team
Carry out plant commissioning and validation in line with company IQ protocols
Ensure that schemes operate within the framework of national and company standards.
Ensure that all engineering work done meets all cGMP requirements and that all SPS quality procedures are followed accordingly.
Provide engineering management and technical Mechanical support for the site as necessary.

People:

Assist in the Co-ordination of activities for EPCM contract engineers
Coach and support the site Mechanical team to allow staff development

Financial:

To complete the Mechanical element of projects within authorised limits


Quality/cGMP Will uphold cGMP principles in their area of responsibility, continually seek opportunities to improve and enhance quality standards, and encourage other staff to do likewise.

Contacts & Relationships:

 Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager
 Provide technical support to production and maintenance departments
 Work as a team with other site engineers
Contact at every level within the company

Supervision Received:

Self directed with regular review of performance and Project progress by Engineering Projects Manager
 

Qualifications/Experience :

Minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Project Engineering in chemical or pharmaceutical environment
Full understanding of engineering project implementation requirements
Understanding of structural and civil engineering
