Role & Responsibilities
- You will manage large and complex German-language projects for air- and gas-insulated high-voltage substations (AIS and GIS, 110 kV – 380 kV).
- You will have overall responsibility for all engineering activities from project start to as-built phase, and will strictly adhere to project specifications, local laws, standards and internal standards for quality, health, safety and integrity.
- You will review technical planning documents for substations, such as circuit diagrams, technical specifications, layouts and detailed drawings, taking into account interfaces, standards, processes and customer specifications.
- You will create technical concepts, specifications and select equipment and materials, taking into account costs, quality as well as standards and customer specifications.
- You will create technical purchasing specifications for projects in the processing phase and projects in the tendering phase.
- You will review and coordinate work packages, calculations or studies with internal or external engineers.
- You will lead technical clarification rounds with customers or suppliers.
- During the construction phase, you will support the planning of installation, commissioning and other on-site activities and clarify technical problems.
- In the technical area, you will support the creation of purchasing specifications, calculations, schedules, deviations and offer evaluations.
- For the technical packages and available technical resources, you plan the required hours, set deadlines and manage changes.
- You will support the contract manager in the technical part of claims (additional scope of services, cost effects, deadline influences and risk assessments).
Qualifications And Skills:
- bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- more than 5 years of experience in a leading role in the primary and/or secondary planning of high-voltage substations.
- familiar with German legal requirements and standards.
- results-oriented team player with a proactive approach.
- communication skills and successfully build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels in a multicultural environment.
- knowledge of common studies and calculations in the high-voltage range.
- fluent in written and spoken German and have a good knowledge of English.
- experience with document management systems (e.g. PIRS).
- Very good MS Excel skills and knowledge of AutoCAD/Primtech, Engineering Base or BIM/Navisworks are also a plus.
