Liverpool-Based. Contract Outside IR35. Lead Procurement. Drive Strategic Delivery.

NRL are recruiting for a Project Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead supply chain strategy and contract management for major engineering projects. Based in Liverpool, this is a 6-month contract position operating outside IR35—ideal for a commercially astute professional ready to make an immediate impact.

Your Role:
We’re hiring for a strategic leader who can:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement and contract delivery—from market engagement to completion

  • Lead supplier performance across commercial, manufacturing, and quality metrics

  • Apply deep knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, IChemE, and FIDIC contracts

  • Collaborate across disciplines to define packages of work and optimise programme schedules

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to documentation including procurement strategies and risk registers

You’ll need to bring:

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management within engineering and construction

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills at senior level

  • Knowledge of complex cost estimates and supply chain risk management

  • Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholder engagement

  • Proficiency in Office 365 tools including SharePoint and Excel

Bonus Points For:

  • Site Safety Passport (CSCS or CCNSG)

  • Experience in the food industry

  • Familiarity with chemical/process plant projects
