Job Title: Receptionist - Location: Bristol, UK

About the Opportunity:

We’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Receptionist to join their team at a key office location in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital front-of-house and administrative role within a high-performing technical and engineering environment.

As the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff, you’ll ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere while providing essential support to the wider office and facilities team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong customer service focus, excellent organisation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic workplace.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deliver a warm and professional welcome to all visitors and callers, managing the reception desk and coordinating meeting room schedules

  • Keep the reception area clean, organised, and in line with security and visitor procedures

  • Administer access control systems, including issuing ID cards and maintaining access records

  • Monitor office and kitchen supply levels, placing timely orders to ensure stock availability

  • Assist with Health & Safety compliance by uploading inspection records and maintaining accurate documentation

  • Provide general administrative support such as data entry, document handling, correspondence, and invoice tracking

  • Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations

  • Collaborate with the Facility Manager on a variety of ongoing office and project support tasks


What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in a front-desk, receptionist, or customer-facing administrative role is advantageous

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly approach

  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail

  • Confident user of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Customer-oriented mindset with a calm, approachable demeanour

  • Self-starter who thrives working independently, while also contributing positively within a team

  • Positive attitude, adaptable, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities
