We’re looking for a Hair & Skin Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company at the forefront of human cell technology. In this role, you’ll develop and characterise iPSC-derived and primary cell models, helping researchers around the world study skin and hair in ways that were previously impossible.
About the Role As a Hair & Skin Scientist, you’ll be part of the R&D team, contributing to the development of novel human tissue models for research and application. You’ll combine hands-on cell culture expertise with problem-solving and scientific insight to deliver robust, reproducible models for customer use.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain iPSC-derived and primary human skin and hair cell models
Characterise cells and tissues to ensure reproducibility and functional relevance
Optimise culture conditions and differentiation protocols
Collaborate with R&D colleagues to expand the hair and skin product portfolio
Support customers with technical guidance, experimental design, and troubleshooting
Keep up to date with advances in skin and hair biology and regenerative medicine
Skills & Experience Required
Degree or higher in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
Strong experience in human cell culture, ideally including iPSC differentiation
Experience working with skin or hair biology, organoids, or tissue models preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality reproducible data
Collaborative team player with good communication skills
