Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of timely detailed cost estimates in support of tender bids.
- Engage with the supply chain during the tender process to secure accurate pricing for packages of works.
- Ensure effective handover of tender estimates to project teams when contract has been awarded.
- Maintain a strategic oversight of macro conditions in developing bid winning strategies.
- Mentor and coach the estimators to assist the development of their careers within Estimating.
Role Requirements:
- Relevant Third level BSc in Quantity Surveying
- Previous experience as a building estimator, more recently as a Senior Estimator
- Previous experience with a main contractor (ideally Residential, RC Frame, Retail/Commercial, Pharma, Data Centres, Hi-Tech)
- Analytical approach to estimating
- Ability to prioritise work requirements
- IT Skills – MS Office packages and database experience
- Ability to work well within a team and to collaborate with others
