On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are looking for a Storesperson for work based in the Oxford area.


Main Purpose of Role:

To support the Lead Stores and Small Works Coordinator & Performance and Compliance Manager with the day to day management of the Estates stores, involving ordering of material & stock, PPE plus good receiving, and dealing with invoice and delivery queries. This post will include assisting with waste management, stock management and chargeable works stream (small works)

The post holder will be from time to time, be required to assist with other Estates Support / admin duties, dealing with client queries and requests for work.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Working alongside the Lead Stores & Small Works Coordinator, the individual would be required to

  • Raise Purchase Orders (Maximo IBM software) and coordinate with suppliers to obtain material and supplies needed for site

  • Carry out regular stock take of the stores utilising the Rexel Smart Stores system & restock as required so minimum levels are maintained.

  • Take delivery of any stores-related items and ensure they are stores in a safe and secure manner

  • Check delivery of materials and equipment from suppliers and coordinate with Full-time Stores Coordinator to ensure invoices are marked for payment

  • Ensuring that waste generated from site is separated into correct waste streams (WEEE waste, COSHH waste, recyclable materials, metal waste).

  • Ad Hoc administrative duties related to the running of the stores function including scanning and filing delivery notes, processing of invoices and progressing any queries. Ensuring documentation is correctly filed away to allow for invoicing and payment.

  • Arrange for any waste collections through suppliers and move materials in an areas appropriate for collection.

  • Work with the Lead Stores Coordinator and Performance and Compliance Manager to progress any chargeable works including ordering of materials, assisting the engineering team with any tools required to complete the works.

Desirables

  • Experience using an electronic stores system

  • Experience raising Purchase Orders, reconciling invoices

  • Experience working in an estates or facilities environment, including healthcare

  • Experience working in a stores environment and able to use pallet trucks and complete manual handling tasks in a safe manner

Requirements

  • Able to proactively & independently to manage a busy workstream

  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel

  • Be physically fit and able to carry out manual work
