Plumber
A Plumber is responsible for ensuring water and sanitation systems in residential and commercial buildings are working correctly. Plumbers repair, install and maintain pipes and fixtures, and also inspect drainage and other systems to ensure they’re fully functional and complaint with regulations.
Plumbers are also required to understand blueprints and floorplans to enable them to do their work without interfering with existing infrastructure. Plumbing is a manual role that requires them to be able to cut and bend piping and assemble valves and fittings. Plumbers also work on areas external to properties such as broken drainage and clogged drains. Plumbers will need to have completed an apprenticeship or relevant trade qualifications.
For Plumber jobs, candidates may need to hold a JIB card or CSCS card.
