Document Controller

A Document Controller is in charge with flow of documentation within a company, project or team. This includes being the central point of contact and control for all related documents, drawings and reports. A Document Controller usually provides administrative support to a wider range of stakeholders within a business or project team. Quality management and document verification is often the responsibility of the Document Controller.

A key skill for a Document Controller is being extremely organised and process driven, often needing to work within various different IT and technology systems and applications. A Data Controller will input data, support with scanning and other administration duties to manage paperwork and electronic documentation within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
