A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is often required. Familiarity with estimator software and understanding electrical codes are also crucial. Employers usually seek candidates with previous experience in electrical estimation. A proven track record in dealing with electrical contractors and generating accurate project bids is highly desirable. Such competence aids in the successful estimation and management of resources.
