A General Operative will support various people across a site or project, and duties may include labour work, forklift truck operation, handballing products and other general duties. To undertake the role of a General Operative, candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety and how to work in line with risk assessments. Certifications such as a forklift truck licence may be required to secure a role as a General Operative, as well as standard requirements such as a valid CSCS card, IOSH or CCNSG safety passport or security clearance.
