A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should exhibit strong analytical skills, creativity, and proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software. A Bachelor’s degree, HNC/HND, in mechanical engineering, or a related field, is typically required for the role. When hiring for this role, companies look for candidates who possess hands-on experience in mechanical design and knowledge of industry regulations and standards. Experience with testing procedures and quality assurance is also highly valued.

​Falkirk

​Falkirk is a town in central Scotland, about 30 miles north of Edinburgh and 40 miles south-west of Glasgow. Falkirk is the main town in an area known as Central Scotland. Falkirk is well known for the award winning Scottish Aquatics Centre, which is used by Olympic athletes.
