​Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineers are highly competent, skilled engineers responsible for all mechanical components within a plant, manufacturing site of project location. A Mechanical Engineer will work collaboratively across multi-disciplines teams to provide a range of engineering support. This could include reviewing AutoCAD design, technical drawings and complex problem solving and technical advisory services. Mechanical Engineers are in demand across a wide range of engineering sectors, and are required to work to industry standard safety standards.

A Mechanical Engineer require good communication skills, as well as a degree in Engineering and using Chartered Engineer Status – although they may be working towards this status.

In 2019 Cumbria had a population of around half a million people. Cumbria is home to the Lake District National Park and many market towns. Cumbria can be easily accessed from Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-tyne, Glasgow and Edinbourgh, all under 2 hours drive away. Cumbria is home to some of the UK's largest engineering and defence projects including shipbuilding projects and Sellafield power plant.
