Outage Planner

Required skills for an Outage Planner include excellent organisational skills, detailed technical understanding, and proficiency in planning software tools such as Primavera P6. Typically, a degree in engineering or a related field is mandatory.

Prior experience as an Outage Planner is highly desirable. Companies look for candidates who have demonstrated experience in planning and managing outage schedules effectively within the engineering sector, along with a proven ability to mitigate potential risks associated with outages.

 

Workington

Workington is a town in Cumbria, North-West England. It is on the north bank of the River Derwent, opposite its twin town Cockermouth. Workington is known for its large harbour and beaches, which are popular all year round.

The engineering sector in Workington is growing every year. They have one of the largest petrochemical refineries in Europe and a port that serves many countries around the world.

Transport in Workington is good. There is a direct train line from Workington Railway Station to London, Leeds and Manchester. Many of the major bus operators serve this area including regular services to Carlisle and Whitehaven. The main road that runs North/South through Workington is the A595 which connects Workington to Maryport and beyond.
