Faslane

​On the north of Scotland, Faslane is a major Royal Navy dockyard and base which is home to the UK’s fleet of Vanguard-class submarines.

The new nuclear submarine engineering facility in Faslane is home to the Royal Navy's fleet of nuclear submarines and is one of the most environmentally friendly facilities of its kind in the world. It includes an ultra-quiet submarine testing area, an acoustic tank for hydrophone testing and various other specialist rooms for cold-water diving training and research. Since opening in 2004, over £10m has been invested in improving environmental performance at Faslane.

The travel to Faslane is easy and convenient thanks to its close proximity to Glasgow. The A78 will take you directly into the town centre, as well as connecting with the M8 and M74 motorways. There are several trains that service Faslane from Glasgow Central station.
