Assistant Project Manager – New Project – Long Term Career Opportunity - North East

Overview:

Highly innovative & unique work scope, working in a globally recognised project management team you will be part of a large client lead team at Hartlepool Power Station supporting multiple projects, covering complex nuclear projects from existing generation, nuclear defueling, nuclear new build and/or nuclear decommissioning.

Key Skills & Attributes:

Must have a wide range of experience of working in project management teams within highly regulated & safety focused organisations. Ideally in Nuclear, Defence, MOD, Rail, Construction etc.

Skilled in the following areas / willingness to expand on skillset within Project Management:

Familiar with project management techniques across multi-functional organisations.
Project and contract delivery to include training & development.
Previous experience in training & development, to include updating and maintaining training matrices.
To drive forward, manage and influence complex project work-scopes.
Understanding and knowledge of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction and installation/commissioning management and commercial contracting.
Knowledge in HSE legislation to include CDM compliance.
Skilled in reporting tools covering estimating, scheduling, programming, reports and risk analysis & earned value tools.
Commercial, contractual, and financial awareness.
Skilled in supporting the management of projects throughout the full project lifecycle, across a range of complex multi-discipline projects/environments.

Qualifications / Accreditations:

HNC or Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent (Preferred)
Corporate membership with an appropriate professional institution

Clearance Requirements: BPSS/CTC Cleared or ability to achieve this.
