NRL are currently recruiting Assistant Project Managers/Project Engineers for a role based in York.

This role is working for a multi-national Engineering Services company involved heavily in the Rail industry.

About this Role:
In this role you will be part of a project team focusing on the progression and success of Rail Projects. You will help to successfully expand, improve, maintain and monitor high speed rail routes in order to meet public needs and ensure travel safety.

By using your project/programme knowledge, you will help incorporate proactive and innovative ideas into project plans, whilst also assuring the swift delivery of project success.

You will help to support the Project Manager in:

  • Leading a multi-discipline team to achieve the pre-determined objectives of an individual project(s)

  • Ensuring the integrity of project reports

  • Monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment throughout projects

  • Effectively managing and controlling project change


Requirements for the Role:

  • Relevant Project Management experience

  • Rail (or equivalent sector) experience and understanding

  • Commencement/completion of professional development (degree/professional qualification to the suited role)

  • Strong initiative and problem solving, analytical and document preparation experience

  • Responsibility for own output, and understanding of how his/her output contributes/influences a project/programme

  • Strong interpersonal qualities demonstrable through their daily actions and engagement with individuals

  • Strong proactive nature with proven adaptability

This role is a contracted role with the duration of 1 year, due to start the end of June 2022.

Rate of Pay can be negotiated depending on previous experience.
The only payment option for this role is PAYE.

This role offers remote working, however you must be able to commute to York once a week.
