NRL is recruiting for an Authorised Person - Mechanical to be based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The client has secured a long-term contract to provide total facilities management - including property and building services management, energy services, construction project works and asset lifecycle replacement at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s Queen Alexandra Hospital (QAH).
About the role:
Management of Boiler and Pressure Systems
Management Specialised Ventilation System
Management of Piped Medical Gas services
Providing technical support to hospital FM teams, as well as NHS service users
Managing plant and equipment maintenance in line with agreed levels
Supervising and overseeing contractor activities on hospital plant
Providing authorised person duties to ensure compliance with HTM’s and regulatory standards.
Proactively assisting in the ongoing development of FM services
Demonstrating knowledge and leadership in a multitude of engineering principles
What you will need:
ONC / HNC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally with a trade background
Previous experience in management of Hard FM Services within a hospital or similar environment
Currently a holder of or previously held appointment as:
Authorised Person Boilers and Pressure Systems
Authorised Person Ventilation
Authorised Person Medical Gas Pipeline Systems
