BMS Project Engineers

NRL is working with one of the UK’s leading building and infrastructure technology services providers, supplying a complete Building Services package.

About the role:
  • Work as part of the project delivery team reporting to the BEMS Project Manager
  • Read and understand the BMS scope and the interaction and relation with all M&E specifications
  • Raise technical queries / RFI’s
  • Use standard documents to produce Schedule of Deliverables, Interface Matrix, Network Architecture Drawings, Functional Design Specifications, Points Schedules, Technical submittals, RFI’s
  • Issue design information to panel manufactures and review panel wiring diagrams for accuracy
  • Create a project interface matrix to manage any interactions with other packages to ensure scope gaps are covered across project specification documentation
  • Understand, oversee and manage production of BMS software and graphics
  • Assist the commissioning and point to point testing and Commission Control Panels (CP) to monitor and control mechanical systems
  • Ensure any project handover documentation is managed to ensure it is ready at handover
  • Ensuring handover of fully operational BMS Systems
What you will need:
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (full electrical apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of delivering BMS systems
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of BMS
  • Experience working with BACNET and or Modbus
  • Ability to understand and adapt system software and graphics
  • Ability to communicate at all levels 
  • Valid CSCS or ECS site card
  • Capable of working in a high pressure and fast-moving environment
  • Schneider, Honeywell and Tridium experience desirable, but not essential
