NRL are currently recruiting for a Building Service Engineer (Mechanical) for a permanent role working for one of the UK's leading contractors.

The role will involve working on various contracts throughout the South East, South West & London.

Job Duties:
  • Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to all building services, heating and Ventilation, hot & cold-water mechanical systems. Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report any substandard or defective equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on building services systems and boiler systems and fixtures.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements
  • Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
  • All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Undertake duties, as required, that contribute to the effective operation of the Contract.
  • Work in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Be on a call out rota

Who are we looking for:
  • High level of inter-personal skills.
  • Must have served a recognized apprenticeship and obtained Level 3 City & Guilds or          NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
  • Gas Safe Registration
  • Completed ACOP L8 in Legionella awareness.
  • Have a proactive approach to Health and Safety.
  • Ability to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
  • Have CTC Clearance or be willing to undertake this
