NRL are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to work remotely alongside a global engineering client of ours on new and exciting projects.
Role Responsibilities:
Identify, establish contacts and work with internal and external users
Conduct requirements gathering workshops/meetings with internal and external users
Establish and document all user requirements
Understand and document existing systems and tools and those mandated by the client
Conduct functional mapping and gap analysis exercises on proposed/mandated tools
Create functional maps of user requirements to systems functionality
Lead on producing specifications for new or modified systems to ensure user requirements are met
Working closely with the Technical Architect(s) to understand proposed systems landscapes
Work closely with the Requirements Lead to ensure any changes to existing scope are quickly highlighted and can be escalated
Producing functional user requirements catalogues and Use Cases
Maintaining and updating user requirements, both functional and non-functional
Reviewing and understanding the As-Is and To-Be business application landscapes
Working with the Technical Architects and the wider team to deliver the Roadmap for the implementation of the target To-Be architecture
Role Requirements:
Multiple examples of leading Business and Systems Analysis functions on projects to deliver user requirements catalogues
Confident working independently to produce clear and unambiguous requirement documents
Experience leading workshops with stakeholders to derive requirements
Multiple examples of delivering solution roadmaps to deliver user requirements
Experience of working with document management systems, scheduling systems
Demonstrable experience of working to tight schedules and complex working environments.
Experience working in a constantly changing environment, being able to flex to the customers direction
Strong foundation in software development and configuration life cycles
Team player with the ability to work closely with clients, suppliers and peers and within dispersed project teams
Requirements gathering, documenting and analysis techniques and tools
Clear understanding of eliciting functional and non-functional requirements at L0 to a low level of detail
Can understand technical and business process documentation quickly and articulate via requirements artefacts
Functionality mapping and Gap Analysis
Demonstrates collaborative behaviours and is customer oriented
Document Management Systems/systems interface expertise
Knowledge of engineering, construction and associated tool sets a distinct advantage
Can work independently as part of a remote team, and can be trusted to deliver against project outcomes as directed
