NRL are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyors of all levels with a mix of survey, professional and contract administration expertise to join one of our clients team within the London office. This would be working with a large engineering consultancy working within the commercial, industrial, education, health and infrastructure industries.  

About the role:

Typical services our client provides include:
  • Building, condition, dilapidation, asset surveys etc.
  • Contract Administration, Project Management and Employer’s Agent
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Project Monitoring
  • Dilapidations
  • Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • Planned and reactive maintenance
  • Party Wall Matters
  • Fire Risk assessments
This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to strengthen our clients team and further develop the business by working closely with existing clients and assist in developing new business. You won’t be left on your own and you will be encouraged to develop your business skills and manage some key accounts, working closely with the Principal Building Surveyor to help you achieve your career goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high calibre service and support for survey, professional and contract administration service lines
  • To support business objectives and our goal to maintain Performance Excellence for clients
  • Being an active part of the building surveying team and working closely with senior managers, who will help you develop your client development skills and business acumen
  • Take personal responsibility for complying with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
What you will need:
  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
  • Ideally Chartered through either the RICS or CIOB
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects and assignments in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to provide first class advice to clients
  • Good professional skills, to be developed to an appropriate level as part of the role
  • Excellent specification writing skills and detailed understanding of JCT/NEC Contracts
  • Experience in CAD and or Revit design packages.
  • Strong track record in contract administration of projects from inception to completion
  • Track record of working with stakeholders
  • Able to build long-term relationships
  • Previously employed by a consultancy
  • A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
  • A team player, outgoing, friendly, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Full driving licence
