I am seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to act as the main contractor representative, overseeing all commissioning activities and managing subcontractors on a large-scale data center project in Newport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate commissioning activities across all building systems.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including design teams and client representatives.
- Ensure systems are tested, validated, and handed over in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Proven main contractor experience as a Commissioning Manager on large construction projects, ideally data centers or similar complex builds.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and commissioning processes.
- Excellent IT skills – knowledge of Revit/BIM and Microsoft applications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills for managing subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Relevant third-level qualification in Building Services, M&E, or Trade
- 5–7 years' experience in building services coordination
