An award-winning developer, known for its uniquely designed housing and leisure developments is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in the North East
About the Role:
- To oversee the successful delivery of schemes from the start through to completion
- To ensure that work is completed on time and within its budget and adhering to quality control procedures
- Working on a variety of schemes medium to high end mainly residential and leisure sectors
- To be first point of contact for clients, site managers and sub-contractors for as long as the contracts last
- Health and safety issues will be a top priority in this role, as will managing client expectations
- Negotiating sub-contract orders and monitoring sub-contractors
- Have a track record of managing a number of developments on behalf of a main contractor or developer
- Building construction background is essential
- Having worked in a variety of industries, commercial, leisure, hotels or similar
- Having worked with a housebuilder would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build great client and sub-contractor relationships
- Commercially and financially aware

- Man-Management skills, can coach and mentor staff
